When the temperatures are high and you are worried about colonies overheating in the standard bucket on the drive home, this is for you. During normal use, the cap is on the bottom of the bucket and it works like the standard bucket. When finished, simply take off the bottom, lay the bucket on it's side, and the bees have ventilation from both ends of the bucket. This helps in both high temperature and high humidity environments. Customers in 110F conditions who were losing colonies tell us that they have not lost any colonies since switching to this design.
